Billing and Accounting Systems
PROJECT OVERVIEW
We created an sales and accounting system for a Sweepstakes and Lotto ticket distribution and marketing company, integrated with those of its sister companies.
CHALLENGE
Our client’s company grew very fast and had an increasing number of sister companies. Each company had its own separate chart of accounts and over 280 outlets total. Sales were manually tallied and inputted into their system, and these sales were then reported and manually moved to their separate accounting system for them to be reported in their books.
PROCESS
We observed how the Sweepstakes and Lotto ticket outlets did their sales tracking process, and found the most efficient way to automate these. We also studied their old accounting software to see what functions the users were accustomed to, and what features could be improved.
SOLUTION
We created an integrated sales and accounting system which:
1. streamlined the process of tracking sales and inventory and their accounting;
2. created a unified sales and accounting process for our client and its sister companies;
3. imported sales directly to their database, which goes directly to their accounting system.
IMPACT
With this new system, our client was able to save time from manually tallying their sales and transferring these to their main accounting system. They also have an easier time comparing sales and financial details among the sister companies because they are all on the same platform.
